Dave Glubetich: Examining a political issue tells us everything

There’s a lot more going on with the southern border dilemma than you might imagine. Many questions persist: why is this only a Republican issue? Why didn’t President Joe Biden even visit the border? These questions remain unanswered.

Biden has appointed Vice President Kamala Harris as his Border Czar, to oversee immigration issues on the southern border. But she was a no-show. She made a brief appearance at the border and issued a ‘do not come’ statement, but did nothing as an additional 2 million people have entered our country illegally since her visit.

People from various nations around the world enter illegally, breaking all applicable laws. So far, in 2022 alone, it is estimated that more than 200,000 migrants cross each month, and very few are arrested and returned. Yet the border crisis is affecting every aspect of American life… homelessness, crime, drug abuse, rule of law, as well as overburdening state, city and school budgets.

Yet the Dems are silent in conversations about the border. The Democratic mayors of DC, Chicago and New York are outraged when buses full of illegal immigrants are dropped off at their doorsteps. Why? Doesn’t our porous border affect everyone. Do they really expect this to be just a border state problem?

Instead, Joe Biden and his Dem allies are attacking MAGA Republicans, saying they pose a threat to our democracy. Yet, as they gush about “fabricated issues,” a veritable invasion of our nation is unfolding, right before our eyes.

“Why are they ignoring our border dilemma?” This is a very simple question that has remained unanswered. Are they just “blind” to what’s going on or is there perhaps a more ominous reason behind it? Silence speaks volumes without saying anything at all.

Not so long ago, Democrats were closely aligned with American unions. While that’s still true, some of those relationships are a little fragile now. So they established new partnerships. The ones they don’t want to talk about openly… with social media companies, mega-corporations and big universities. Or to put it another way, the Dems are in the pockets of Big Tech.

Many great corporations born in the United States have grown and spread their wings across the world. They no longer see themselves as the first American companies but as global conglomerates. The slogan “Make America Great Again” goes against their inner grain. They care little about borders, because they have nothing to do with financial results. They also wield great influence over the Democratic Party, and we see more of them every day.

The vast majority of these mega-corporations fully support and defend the actions and beliefs of the Democratic Party. Not only in the conference rooms, but in the chain of command.

It is natural to ask the question: are these large international companies based in the United States benefiting from the closing of borders? The answer is no, they don’t. It is the open borders, however, that brings a new supply of cheap labor and less international criticism. Is this why the Dems are silent on border issues?

Perhaps the “greatest threat to our democracy” is the mega-corporations that think they are too big, too powerful, and intellectually superior to fade into American politics. Are they now pulling the strings of the Democratic Party?
