Leaders from all walks of life grieved by the Kishtwar incident
Srinagar: Political leaders from different parties today expressed their deep sorrow and sadness at the deaths in a downpour that hit Kishtwar.
Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President, Member of Parliament from Srinagar, Dr Farooq Abdullah, said: “I am deeply saddened by the loss of life due to flash flooding caused by a cloud in Dachhan Kishtwar. I express my condolences to the bereaved families, whose loved ones have been devoured by the disaster. My thoughts and prayers are with them in these difficult times, ”he said.
While expressing his sorrow over the incident, Vice President Omar Abdullah prayed for those missing to be recovered unharmed. “My deepest condolences go out to the bereaved families. I share the sorrow of those whose loved ones lost their precious lives in the accident. May those whose precious lives were devoured in the accident find peace in the hereafter, ”he said.
Expressing deep sadness and anguish over the tragic deaths, the provincial president of the National Conference, Devender Singh Rana, called in a statement to strengthen the rescue measures to find the missing and urged the administration to provide provisional relief for victims. He also requested specialized treatment for those injured in the natural calamity.
People’s Democratic Party Chairman Mehbooba Mufti tweeted: “I am saddened to hear about the downpour in Kishtwar today. My deepest condolences to those who have lost their loved ones and my prayers to those who are missing. “
